Mark Zamzow is Senior Director, Operations and Innovation within the Defense Support and Cyber sector at Stellar Solutions, Inc. He is responsible for creating operational and innovative opportunities to support client’s critical needs. His extensive experience includes joint and coalition military operations with emphasis on aerospace, ballistic missile defense, unmanned aerial systems, airlift and tanker operations, training and education, humanitarian assistance and homeland defense.
Prior to joining Stellar Solutions in 2013, Mark was in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Major General with 34 years of service. He spent the early part of his Air Force career flying operationally as a C-130 pilot, aircraft commander, instructor pilot, and evaluator pilot. In later years he primarily flew the C-17, C-141, C-5, KC-135, C-9, C-21 and T-1 while logging over 3400 total flying hours.
Throughout his Air Force career, Mark served in a variety of key operational, staff and command positions ranging from the Air Staff, two major command staffs, and five joint task force (JTF) headquarters staffs or component staffs, to command of units ranging in size from 240 personnel to over 2000 personnel. He served as the Deputy Commander for JTF Odyssey Dawn in 2011 as well as the Director of Mobility Forces within JTF-Joint Guard in 1997, JTF-Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom in 2004, and JTF-Katrina in 2005.
During his time with Stellar Solutions, Mark has been pivotal in helping clients meet their critical needs during multiple, large-scale joint training exercises (JTXs) and ballistic missile defense table top exercises (BMD TTXs) as a planner, integrator and senior leader role player.
Mark is actively participating in several of EUCOM’s and N&NC’s Tier-1 large-scale exercises to include AUSTERE CHALLENGE, AUSTERE EDGE, VIGILANT SHIELD, USAFE’s BLUE FLAG and CJCS’s POSTIVE RESPONSE.
