Lieutenant General (retired) Andy Croft is a Senior Stellar Advisor who is focused on defense and national security matters with unique expertise in operations management, command and control, integrated air and missile defense and joint warfighting. Retiring from the U.S. Air Force after 34 years of service he served in multiple senior executive, command, and aviation positions to gain exceptional depth of experience to help clients attain their critical needs.
Andy’s military career included command tours at the squadron, group, wing and numbered air force levels, and service in four significant senior executive staff assignments while a general officer. A command pilot with more than 3200 flight hours in multiple aircraft, he primarily flew the F-15C.
While serving at U.S. Southern Command as the deputy commander, he conducted strategic level engagements with the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Department of State, and Congressional Delegations in support of SOUTHCOM’s annual security cooperation budget of $254 million and also engaged with Allies and Partners at the highest military and political level. Additionally, while at SOUTHCOM and as the 12th Air Force Commander, he shaped the theater’s Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Joint All-Domain C2 (JADC2) capability, and enhanced domain awareness concepts for appropriate interoperability with allied and partner nations.
While deployed to Baghdad as the Deputy Commanding General for air operations during OPERATION INHERENT RESOLVE he orchestrated combat, combat-support, and missile defense operations in Kuwait, Jordan, Turkey, Syria and Iraq. Furthermore, he was the senior U.S. Advisor to Iraq’s Air Force, Air Defense, and Army Aviation commanders.
