General Charles “Chuck” H. Jacoby, Jr. serves as a senior Stellar Advisor for Stellar Solutions, Incorporated. General Jacoby brings over 36 years of experience leading military, government and international organizations. His overall military experience as a strategic leader and expert in senior level government decision-making along with expertise in ballistic missile defense, integrated air and missile defense, international engagements, joint operations and planning, and homeland security provides clients with senior leader mentoring and coaching opportunities as well as valuable insight and understanding in today’s complex environments.
General Jacoby was the first Army officer to command North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) and the United States Northern Command (U.S. NORTHCOM), where he integrated DOD operations with 35 other US government agencies. His significant military experience prior to his command position at NORAD-NORTHCOM included Commanding General of I Corps, Commanding General of Multi-National Corps-Iraq, Director of Strategic Plans and Policy (J5) on the Joint Staff, and Senior Member of the U.S. Delegation to the United Nations Military Staff Committee.
General Jacoby has been involved with several organizations, including the Council on Foreign Relations, the El Pomar Foundation, the Global Resilience Institute of Northeastern University, and the Association of the United States Army. He is also the distinguished chair of the Modern War Institute at the United States Military Academy.
As a Stellar Advisor, Chuck is one of our most experienced advisors regarding the Secretary of Defense’s and Chairman’s Globally Integrated Operations initiative. He has emulated the role of SECDEF during EUCOM’s Exercise Austere Challenge 17, supported Austere Edge 18 and several NORAD/NORTHCOM Vigilant Shield exercises helping to advance the transformation of Chairman’s Tier One exercises.
Chuck is currently co-authoring with Mr. Leo Tilman a book on strategic agility, “The Agility Mission: How Decisive Risk-Intelligent Organizations Brave the Unknown and Win.”
