Dan Lloyd is a Stellar Advisor with Stellar Solutions, Inc, and a retired two-star United States Coast Guard Rear Admiral. He has broad experience diplomatically and successfully engaging with multiple agencies, states, governments and industries to address complex, multifaceted challenges, skillfully resolve difficult issues, and enhance readiness to meet both natural and man-made crises.
Dan’s military career included three joint tours: leading the Joint Interagency Task Force South in countering transnational threats achieving record levels of interdictions; establishing the National Maritime Inteligence Center as the deputy; and serving as the first Senior U.S. Department of Homeland Security representative to NORAD and USNORTHCOM.
As the Military Advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS), he advised the Secretary and provided key coordination between DHS and the U.S. Department of Defense and U.S. military services. He was pre-designated and deployed as the Secretary’s representative for hurricane response.
A USCG helicopter, fixed wing transport and executive jet pilot with 4600+ flght hours, he commanded both large and small air stations. Earlier in his career he served as a Law Enforcement Boarding Officer countering illicit trafficking.
As a Stellar Advisor, Dan supported NORAD/NORTHCOM’s Vigilant Shield joint exercises in 2017, 2018, and 2019. Additionally, he as served as Project Lead for EUCOM’s Counter Trans-National Threat project.
