Glen VanHerck is a visionary senior leader leveraging more than 36 years of service. He brings a wealth of experience in strategy and policy development, and planning and process improvement. He joins Stellar Solutions as an accomplished senior leader who drives transformation, solves complex strategic problems, and leads organizations to success while preparing for and executing impactful change enterprise wide.
A retired U.S. Air Force General who most recently served as Commander of NORAD and U.S. Northern Command, he previously served as the Director of the Joint Staff. He has a diverse background having flown the F-15C, F-35A, B-1B and B-2A while commanding at the squadron, group, wing, and warfare center levels.
Glen is currently Principal at Glen VanHerck Advisors, LLC. He serves as a strategic advisor to multiple companies spanning various industry sectors. He also serves as an advisor to the United States Global Leadership Coalition and the Wilson Center’s Canada Institute. He is a senior fellow at National Defense University and serves as a board member for First State Community Bank.
Within both the national and international operating arena’s, he developed policy, strategy, and standards for critical global operations and humanitarian relief efforts. He directed global integration efforts, key leader engagements, and interaction and communication with senior government officials across the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, Senate Armed Services Committee, and House Armed Services Committee. He is an expert in globally integrated and all domain operations, strategic deterrence, integrated air and missile defense, homeland defense, and defense support of civil authorities. At NORAD and NORTHCOM, he led the commands and DoD in the execution of the global information dominance experiments (GIDE).
Glen delivers the ability to bridge all organizational levels across government and industry. He champions a culture of excellence and efficiency while optimizing organizational structure to achieve outcomes. He guides organizations through large-scale risk, transformational initiatives, and culture and process change helping them attain their critical needs.
