John Kringen serves as a senior Stellar Advisor for Stellar Solutions, Incorporated. With extraordinary depth and expertise in the national intelligence community, foreign policy, inter-agency operations, and academia, John provides a wealth of experience to our clients.
Most significantly, John served as the Director of Intelligence for the CIA from 2005 to 2008. Prior to that assignment he was the CIA’s Director of the Crime and Narcotics Center. In those positions he gained extraordinary expertise and perspective of the nation’s intelligence operations, inter-agency coordination, executive leadership, and govermental processes.
In 2008 John took those leadership attributes and skill sets to U.S. European Command where he served for three years as the Senior Intelligence Advisor to the Commander of EUCOM. Gaining further perspective on military operations and politcal affairs functions within a combatant command, he later moved to the Institute for Defense Analyses where he served as a Research Staff Member from 2012-2018. In 2019 he worked in the Persian Gulf for DynCorp International.
Throughout his career he had responsibilities for managing intelligence programs in a wide variety of areas, ranging from tracking the international arms trade to monitoring political, economic and military developments in much of the developing world. From 1998-2000 he also served as the Director of Imagery Analyis at what eventually became the National Geospacial-Intelligence Agency.
As a Senior Stellar Advisor, John provides clients expertise in intelligence training and operations, cyber operations, imagery analysis, military capabilities and international affairs in order to meet their critical needs.
