Kent Traylor serves Stellar Solutions with exceptional technical and leadership expertise in space operations and strategy, space technology integration, and Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) and Air-Space (Technology) Integration (ASI). Retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Colonel after 30 years of service he additionally gained 16 years of experience in the commercial sector supporting Lockheed Martin before establishing his own consulting LLC.
Following his commission from the USAF Academy, Kent flew the RF-4, F-15, and U-2, including 43 combat missions and 153 hours over Iraq and Serbia/Kosovo. He additionally commanded flying units at the squadron and group level. He gained diplomatic experience with a tour at the US Embassy in Australia before moving into space operations with staff tours in the Pentagon on the Air Staff and then as Vice Commander of the Space Warfare Center at Schriever AFB.
During his many years in the commercial sector Kent was at the forefront of space operations development and innovation. As the lead for JADC2 and ASI he spearheaded evolutions involving next generation modeling, simulation, visualization and wargaming, and oversaw several classified small satellite programs including award of the Space Development Agency’s Transport Layer, Tranche 0, 10 satellite contract.
Additionally, Kent served as the company lead for the Space Enterprise Consortium (SpEC) contract with the USAF Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) as well as the company lead for the Aviation and Missile Technology Consortium with the U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC).
Kent’s diverse and expansive space operations career included programs such as DSCS, MilStar, AEHF, SBIRS, and assorted classified projects. His foundational skillsets to help clients attain their critical needs include air and space ISR, Military Satellite Operations, Space Launch Operations, Air and Space Superiority Strategy, Multi-Domain Operations, Command & Control, Wargaming and Table-Top Exercises.
