Kevin Huyck joins Stellar Solutions as a Stellar Advisor and is charged with helping clients solve their critical needs. Retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a Major General after 32 years of service, his operational expertise includes homeland defense, air and missile defense, operations management, command and control, joint warfighting, crisis response, disaster relief, strategic planning, and international partnerships.
Most notably, Kevin’s military career included three command tours at the squadron, group and wing levels, and five senior executive staff assignments to include Northern Command (NORTHCOM), Air Combat Command (ACC), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), NATO Allied Air Command (AIRCOM), and the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF). A command pilot with more than 3000 flight hours including 295 combat hours, he operationally flew the F-15C and the F-22A.
While at NORTHCOM as the Director of Operations (J3), Kevin led a 350-person team to develop strategic guidance and synchronized operation efforts across the air, land, and maritime domains. He additionally managed the integration of Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine components with U.S. Interagency partners to support emergent requirements.
As the ACC Director of Operations (A3) he served as the lead for all operational planning, training, and force management to enable 150,000 personnel for their operational success. In that capacity he executed a $3+ billion operating budget for 1,900 aircraft and 19 combat weapons systems.
Kevin’s expansive skillsets and depth of experience provide clients unique insight into U.S. national defense and homeland security, NATO operations, integrated air and missile defense, and crisis leadership. He is an expert at managing complex operations and leading large organizations while ensuring mission success and goal attainment.
