A distinguished former FBI Executive and the first U.S. Mission Geneva-sponsored Executive in Residence at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Lauren brings extraordinary experience to our Stellar Advisor ranks. Building upon 29 years of service with the FBI, her unique national security, geopolitical, and diplomacy expertise enables her to support the most challenging critical needs of our clients.
Lauren has worked on six continents with governments, international organizations, NGOs, institutes, academic institutions, corporations, small businesses, and civil society. Additionally, she has provided programming and keynote speeches in countries as diverse as Qatar, Switzerland, Australia, Turkey, Argentina, India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Egypt on topics ranging from counterterrorism and preventing conflict to woman’s rights and social justice.
While with the FBI, she directed the FBI New York Office’s Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF) International Terrorism program, the largest JTTF in the United States, with representation from more than 50 federal, state and local agencies. In that capacity Lauren led counterterrorism investigations and operations with a direct impact on U.S. National Security interests, in 13 counties in New York and, internationally, in Africa, Western Europe, and Canada.
While leading the FBI’s office at the American Embassy in Paris, the first woman appointed to this post, she directed FBI investigations and operations in twenty-four countries, 22 of which were in Africa. She established and enhanced strategic partnerships with counterparts within the diplomatic, law enforcement, intelligence, military, and judicial communities, and within the business and non-profit sectors. She also developed and implemented a risk and needs-based plan to realign the FBI’s coverage on the African continent.
As a Stellar Advisor, Lauren provides enterprise crisis and risk management expertise to governmental agencies, military services, commercial businesses, academic institutions and non-profit organizations. With experience as an FBI role player during U.S. Army Exercises, she brings valuable expertise to Joint Exercises supported by Stellar Advisors. Her expansive client support portfolio spans operational activities, emulation for training or exercises, and senior executive mentoring.
