Lieutenant General (retired) Norm Seip is a Senior Stellar Advisor who is focused on defense and national security related matters. He currently serves as the President of the American Security Project; Chairman, Board of Directors, Council for a Strong America; and was a Senior Mentor for the U.S. Air Force for six years. Norm also serves, pro bono, on the National Security Advisory Council, U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and on the Climate and Security Advisory Group, Center for Climate and Security.
Prior to retiring from the United States Air Force after 35 years of service, he was the Commander of 12th Air Force/AFSOUTH. 12th Air Force was comprised of seven active-duty wings and two direct-reporting units in the Western and Midwestern United States. The fighter and bomber wings under his command possessed over 400 aircraft and had more than 33,000 active-duty military and civilian assigned personnel. As the Commander AFSOUTH, he was the senior Airman to the Commander, U.S. Southern Command. He directly engaged with Air Chiefs and other Services and Ministry of Defense Senior leaders from over 20 nations in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Norm was a command pilot with more than 4,500 flying hours, primarily in fighter aircraft and has flown in support of numerous military operations and contingencies around the world.
His deep military and security affairs expertise has enabled Stellar Solutions’ clients at EUCOM, NORTHCOM and USAFE to meet their critical needs through his senior leader emulation and planning support. The multiple joint and combined exercises that Norm has supported include Austere Challenge, Vigilant Shield, and Astral Knight.
