Doug Fraser is a retired United States Air Force general with 37 years of miliary service and several years of consulting and advisory board experience. As a Stellar Advisor he brings extraordinary depth to clients in joint military operations, inter-agency operations, strategic planning and programming, diplomatic relations, and international affairs.
In his final assignment as the Commander of U.S. Southern Command, he was one of nine combatant commanders reporting directly to the Secretary of Defense and the President. His operational assignments include Europe, the Pacific, Air Combat Command and Air Force Space Command.
Doug currently works as a Senior Fellow for the National Defense University in support of the Pinnacle, Capstone and Keystone programs. Additionally, he is a member of the Independent Senior Assessment Group with the Institute for Defense Analysis working with AF Space Command. He also works as a global security consultant with several U.S. defense companies.
Doug has broad experience resolving U.S. and internatinal security issues with Latin American and Asian Pacific leaders. He led the DOD disaster relief effort for the 2010 Haiti earthquake coordinating with U.S. federal agencies, Congress, international militaries, international relief organizations, and the United Nations to integrate the U.S. and international response.
He routinely worked with Latin American leaders (Presidents, Ministers, and military Chiefs of Defense) to improve strategic partnerships and implement cooperative action plans while directing U.S. military activities across Latin America. Doug also developed U.S. national security programs with U.S. federal agencies, Congressional committees, foreign governments, and international organizations.
