Major General (retired) Duane Jones is currently a senior Stellar Advisor at Stellar Solutions, Incorporated. He has extensive logistics and leadership experience with an emphasis on operational logistics, strategic planning, program evaluation, homeland security, financial management, aircraft maintenance and crisis management.
Commissioned in 1975 upon graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy, he has commanded eight different units including four squadrons, two groups, one wing and the Air Force District of Washington. He also served as the senior flight line maintenance officer for Air Force One and as an executive officer to the Air Force Vice Chief of Staff.
During his assignments within the Logistics Directorate of the Air Staff, he focused extensively on strategic planning, programming and budgeting. He led the team that planned and executed the $23B budget for U.S. Air Force logistics systems and functions.
Additionally, while deployed as the Deputy Commander, U.S. Southern Command in support of the Haiti Earthquake Relief, he skillfully bridged gaps that enabled effective integration between military and State Department USAID relief efforts.
With extraordinary command, senior staff and combat experience (during EUCOM’s operation ALLIED FORCE, CENTCOM’s operations ENDURING FREEDOM and IRAQI FREEDOM as well as SOUTHCOM’s operation UNIFIED RESPONSE), Duane provides outstanding expertise as a Stellar Advisor for joint exercise planning and senior leader emuluation. He recently supported the Vigilant Shield 2019 exercise as an emulator for J4 logisitics.
