Mark Schissler serves as a Senior Advisor at Stellar Solutions, Incorporated. With over 20 years of senior leadership and management experience, to include expertise in global air operations, strategic planning, and board room processes, his focused insight and managerial prowess provides clients with the depth necessary to attain their most critical objectives. Mark’s extensive time in NATO, the European theater, and the Pacific theater were foundational to his recognized expertise in planning and policy, cyber operations, and international engagements.
During his 35 years as an Airman, retiring as a lieutenant general, he initially served as a C-130 instructor and evaluator navigator, chief navigator, executive officer and operations officer. His commands include an airlift squadron, group and wing, as well as two expeditionary air wings. The final seven years of his active duty service were in Europe making him extremely fluent on NATO and related European foreign affairs issues. .
Mark was selected for a National Security Fellowship at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government, and has held assignments on the Air Staff and Joint Staff, including duty as the assistant executive officer to the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
As a Stellar Advisor, his most recent support of joint exercises including emulations of the NATO Secretary General and Senior NATO staff during the Joint Staff’s Positive Response exercise, and emulation of combatant command senior leadership during NORTHCOM’s Vigilant Shield exercise.
