Skip Scott provides Stellar Solutions with over 20 years of executive experience in strategic program development and management, partnership building, crisis management, senior leadership mentoring, and financial management.
Retiring from the U.S. Air Force as a major general, he has commanded twice at the Wing level, once at a Command and Control Center, and once at the Numbered Air Force level. His staff positions while a general officer included assignments to the Air Staff in the Pentagon, within U.S. Central Command while deployed to Iraq, and to Headquarters Air Mobility Command as the Inspector General.
As the 18th Air Force commander, he developed more efficient “hub and spoke” airlift concepts of operation that generated savings of over $72 million annually. During his deployment to Baghdad for Operation Enduring Freedom, he organized and conducted several complex diplomatic engagements across the Government of Iraq’s ministerial staff. As the commander of the Tanker Airlift Control Center (TACC), he orchestrated all military airlift and relief efforts in response to Hurricane Katrina. While serving as the Deputy Director for Air Force Programs, he led the effort to strategically balance the USAF’s program despite a $2.0 billion shortfall.
In his capacity as a Stellar Advisor for Stellar Solutions, Skip has supported U.S. Northern Command during their annual Vigilant Shield exercise as an emulator of multiple combatant commands.
