Yancy Lindsey retired from the United States Navy as a Vice Admiral with over 37 years of service. His final duty was as Commander of Navy Installations Command (CNIC) leading the Navy’s world-wide shore enterprise of 70 installations. In this capacity, he was responsible for >50K personnel and a $10.8B budget to operate, sustain and maintain 2.3M acres, 60K+ buildings, 95K hotel beds, 121 runways across 51 airports, 35 ports, 33 golf courses, and 134 childcare centers, among other functions and activities; to include, facility construction and maintenance, physical security, IT networks and cyber security, environmental, real estate, sustainability, mission assurance, crisis/emergency response and management, and a $600M P&L quality of life business line.
While at CNIC, Yancy led and managed the Navy’s shore response to the COVID pandemic, the Bonhomme Richard shipboard fire response, the Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility drinking water contamination response in Honolulu, HI, and response to and restoration from numerous power outages, major utility failures, and natural disasters.
Yancy previously served as Commander, Navy Region Europe/Africa/Central in Naples, Italy, as Commander, Navy Region Southwest in San Diego, CA, and as Commandant of Naval District Washington in DC. In these positions, he routinely provided logistics and shore support advice to Navy Fleet Commanders and senior civilian government leaders. He also engaged regularly with local, city, county and State leaders and regulators; to include, envisioning, planning and executing crisis and natural disaster response tabletop and field exercises.
Yancy is a Stellar Advisor with significant INCONUS and OCONUS experience in facility, infrastructure, airfield and port operations: crisis/emergency planning, management and response; and strategic, environmental, and sustainability planning to help clients meet their critical needs.
